NZ Funds appoints a UK tax expert

NZ Funds has added another client adviser with UK tax expertise to help with the steady increase in UK pension transfers.

Ellie Jarvis has been appointed as a Client Adviser within the NZ Funds Private Wealth team.

“We are pleased to add further expertise to our UK pension team," NZ Funds Principal, David van Schaardenburg says.

She joined the firm late last year as a Client Adviser with previous experience in the area of UK pensions. Jarvis is originally from Leeds in the UK, and worked for accountancy firm EY for six years before joining NZ Funds.

van Schaardenburg says NZ Funds’ UK Pension Transfer Service has been an immediate success from its launch in 2017, and now needed to add more capacity to be able to handle the increasing number of UK pension transfers it is receiving.

Jarvis says: “I am delighted to have joined a leading-edge New Zealand wealth management firm and work with such a highly skilled team of investment professionals. I’m looking forward to helping clients manage their investments but with specific emphasis on assisting them with their UK pension transfers. The transfer process can be highly complex – and potentially expensive - but with the correct help, most issues and costs can be greatly reduced."
