NZ Funds adds to investment expertise

NZ Funds has appointed a new portfolio manager in its investment team.

Monday, May 4th 2020, 9:57AM

Andrew Curtayne

Andrew Curtayne has moved from London, where he worked for an event-driven hedge fund for a number of years.

Prior to his appointment on the buy side, he was a member of Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Division in Auckland.

Curtayne joins John Cobb, Rebecca Cottrell, David Haslam and Stephan Clark, who are all alumni of Goldman Sachs at NZ Funds.

NZ Funds chief executive Michael Lang says 2020 was a watershed year for NZ Funds with gains in each of its core markets of KiwiSaver, UK Pensions and retirement planning.

He said the demand for advised portfolio solutions was still in its infancy, and as the amount of money at stake in KiwiSaver and other products grew, more New Zealanders were likely to seek an advised portfolio service.
