Brian Kearney brings more than 20 years experience in multi-asset strategy and institutional advisory services across global markets. Most recently serving as Head of Investment Solutions at Mercer since 2018, he has built an impressive track record delivering sophisticated investment solutions to institutional clients, the company says in a statement.
In his new role, Kearney will work alongside Shaw and Partners' Alan Lee and Andrew Kelleher on the firm's implemented consultancy business, expanding Shaw and Partners' OCIO service offering to meet growing demand from New Zealand institutions and high-net-worth investors seeking professional oversight of their investment programmes.
"I'm thrilled to be joining a team with this depth of experience and an unwavering client focus," he says. "Through the Shaw and Partners and EFG networks, we're uniquely positioned to provide New Zealand investors with access to high-quality products and services that simply wouldn't otherwise be available in this market. This includes exposure to private markets, alternative investments, and institutional-grade solutions that can enhance portfolio outcomes for our clients."
Clarity Funds Management getsn a new CEO
Shaw and Partners' fund hosting and management services business Clarity Funds Management has a new CEO, Craig Stanford.
Beyond operating a suite of in-house investment funds, Clarity has experienced exceptional growth in its fund hosting facilities for third-party international managers. This service enables New Zealand investors to access world-class investment managers and asset classes while benefiting from the attractive Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE) tax advantages available to local clients.
Clarity's expansion into the fund hosting space was further reinforced by its acquisition of The Investment Store in the fourth quarter of last year, a third-party fund marketing business founded by Matthew Mimms.
"I'm incredibly excited to be taking the reins of a business with such strong growth prospects," Stanford says. "The demand for quality fund hosting services in New Zealand continues to accelerate as investors and international managers recognise the value proposition we offer. Combined with our in-house fund capabilities, we're building something truly special for the New Zealand investment community."
The dual appointments underscore the group’s commitment to delivering institutional-quality investment solutions and expanding access to global investment opportunities for New Zealand investors.
