Shaw and Partners buys Wellington advice firm
Shaw and Partners, previously JMI Wealth, has expanded its reach buying a Wellington-based financial planning business.

Shaw and Partners Financial Services has acquired Welington-based Makowem & Isaacs Financial Planning which manages more than $230 million of client funds.
Makowem & Isaacs will operate under the Shaw and Partners name.
Dave Isaacs, Director at Makowem & Isaacs Financial Planning, added: “We are excited about the new partnership and the growth potential this creates for our business. Having the scale and resources of Shaw and Partners affords us opportunities that would have been challenging to pursue by ourselves.”
Shaw and Partners, which is part of Investment Services Group, 75% owned by Shaw and Partners Australia has recently announced a number of acquisitions and senior hires as part of its growth strategy.
