PR: Certainty Of Super Level Vital For Workers Says CTU
The Council of Trade Unions welcomes the objectives that lie behind the pre- funding of NZ Superannuation.

“Certainty of base level of Universal Super in retirement is a vital issue for workers,” he said.
“Pre-funding is preferable to reducing the level of superannuation or significantly increasing taxes to pay for superannuation.”
Paul Goulter said however, that the CTU would be concerned if the level of funding required to build up the fund diverts resources from important social spending.
“The CTU will study the details carefully and will take a keen interest in the proposed legislation establishing the fund,” he said.
