What happened to Kiwi Property Investor Magazine?
Kiwi Property Investor Magazine had been published by Momentum Magazines up until the end of last year. At that point the assets were transferred to a new company, Paper Ventures Ltd, and Momentum was placed in liquidation.
Paper Ventures Ltd was subsequently placed in receivership in August 2006 by one of its three secured creditors.

What has happened since the receivership?
The receiver Meltzer Mason Heath offered the assets of Kiwi Property Investor for sale. TPL has now acquired those assets.

What is the status of Kiwi Property Investor subscribers?
Subscribers are unsecured creditors of Paper Ventures. Technically Paper Ventures should repay the money however it appears no payment will be made.
The purchaser of the Kiwi Property Investor assets is not buying the subscription liability or any of Paper Ventures other debts.

What can Kiwi Property Investor Magazine subscribers expect going forward?
TPL has decided to honour a portion of the outstanding subscribers to the Kiwi Property Investor Magazine. TPL will write to each subscriber to outline what portion of the existing subscriptions it will fulfil.

What magazine will subscribers get?
Subscribers will be receiving the NZ Property Magazine. Following the transaction TPL has combined the two titles into one magazine.

Who publishes the NZ Property Magazine?
The NZ Property Magazine is published by Tarawera Publishing Ltd (TPL).

What is TPL’s track record?
TPL has been operating successfully for nine years. The company is the largest specialist personal finance publisher in New Zealand with six titles including the NZ Property Mag. Other titles include ASSET and the NZ Mortgage magazines, plus websites; goodreturns.co.nz, sharechat.co.nz and landlords.co.nz
TPL is committed to quality and continuous improvement which has led to the company twice featuring on the list of New Zealand’s 50 fastest growing companies, winning three Rotorua business awards and two Telecom Business awards over the last few years.

Who works on NZ Property Magazine?
The magazine is produced by a team of people, many of whom are property investors themselves.
Editor Andrea Milner is a keen property investor and also a qualified lawyer.
Senior writer Diana Clement last month was crowned the overall winner of the 2006 Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) Property Media Awards for a portfolio of articles she wrote for The NZ Property Magazine.

Why should you subscribe to the NZ Property Magazine?
The NZ Property Magazine is the largest magazine dedicated to residential property investment in New Zealand. It is produced in conjunction with the NZ Property Investors Federation and is designed to help people become better investors.
