AIA appoints Vitality coach

AIA has appointed a Vitality coach for New Zealand.

AIA will soon bring Vitality, the world’s largest wellness programme, to New Zealand.

Vitality was launched by Discovery in South Africa 20 years ago. Since then, the programme has been introduced to 15 different markets, with more than 8 million members worldwide.

Grant Thomson, who brings with him over 20 years’ experience in working with insurance advisers, was part of the Discovery distribution team during the launch of Vitality in South Africa.

AIA said he had seen first-hand the positive effects that Vitality could have on advisers and on their ongoing relationships with customers.

Thomson said he was looking forward to working with advisers to help bring AIA Vitality to the New Zealand life insurance market: “My role is primarily to help build healthier, longer, better relationships with advisers as we bring AIA Vitality to New Zealand.

“I’ll be working to help advisers get the most out of AIA Vitality as we all start to change the way we think about insurance and the wellness of our customers. It’s an exciting time for AIA, for advisers and for our customers."

AIA Vitality will be available for distribution by AIA’s adviser and partner network in the coming months.
