Southern Cross boss joins UniMed
Health insurer UniMed has secured the expertise of the former head of the country's largest health insurer.

Peter Tynan, former chief executive of the Southern Cross Health Society, has joined its board.
He currently leads Foundation North, a trust administering millions of dollars of grants to not-for-profit organisations in Auckland and Northland each year. He was previously interim chief executive of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Tynan is currently a trustee of Osteoporosis NZ.
Established in 1979, UniMed specialises in workplace and individual health insurance schemes.
