Friday, February 16th 2024, 6:19AM

Melanie Purdey, who has been the head of governance at The Compliance Refinery is skating off to something quite different.

She has been given the opportunity to skate on the adult competitive circuit for figure skating this year. That means she will be leaving Compliance Refinery in order to fully dedicate to the training and travel required.

Purdey says; "My work with our clients has been, without doubt, the most rewarding thing I've had the privilege of doing throughout my career."

"I've seen so many come to realise both the value and ease with which good governance can become part of the DNA of their business.  While I leave those clients and my colleagues at CR with huge reluctance, I'm beyond excited to move to this stage of my life where I can finally fulfil this lifelong dream of competing with skating peers who share a singular love of this sport."

Compliance Refinery managing director Stephen Burgess says: "One of our stated values at Compliance Refinery is to encourage and support our teams' passions outside of work. Maybe we were too successful! "

Before joining The Compliance Refinery Purdey headed up Newpark.
