ANZ responsible investing chief heads to new pastures

Former FMA executive to take over ANZ Investments Responsible Investment team.

Tuesday, September 17th 2024, 6:33PM

Helen Skinner is leaving ANZ Investments after two years leading its Responsible Investment team.

ANZ Investments managing director Fiona Mackenzie says, on LinkedIn, "Helen has been instrumental in shaping our responsible investment approach including refreshing our strategy, engaging with the ANZI board on a broad array of responsible investment topics, and as a key member of our climate related disclosure team."

"We have all really admired the passion, expertise and commitment she has brought to a really challenging role. In particular she has done a great job building out her team, mentoring emerging talent, and working across the investment management team as we further integrated responsible investment factors into our investment decisions."

The ANZ Investments Responsible Investment team will now be led by Paul Gregory, who is head of investment partnerships.

"Paul has significant experience integrating environmental, social, and governance factors into investment decision making from his time with the Guardians of NZ Super and understands the importance of climate related disclosures from his time with the Financial Markets Authority," Mackenzie says.

Skinner says, on LinkedIn; "I'll be taking some time to enjoy the New Zealand summer and will then look forward to more challenges to come."
