Geoff Romijn has been appointed Associate Director of Booster’s Direct Investments team following over six years at Pencarrow Private Equity.
Romijn’s primary focus will be on the NZX-listed Private Land and Property Fund, including looking for further acquisition opportunities. PLPF invests in agricultural and horticultural land across New Zealand such as orchards, vineyards, and dairy farms, supplemented by other commercial real estate assets.
Last year it acquired a large-scale logistics warehouse in Canterbury as part of its diversification strategy.
Romijn’s appointment follows the appointment of former Z Energy and Macquarie executive Nicolas Williams to the new role of Head of Direct Investments last year.
Booster chief executive Diana Papadopoulos says Romijn’s appointment comes as Booster seeks to further grow and diversify the PLPF portfolio.
“New Zealand’s productive sector has fantastic opportunities for long-term investment in private assets and our land and property fund is in its next phase to further diversify and grow its investments,” says Papadopoulos.
“So, we’re excited that Geoff is joining us at this pivotal time to further hone our direct investments, starting with PLPF. Geoff’s track record as an investment manager and director means he brings huge experience and skills as we seek out and execute further direct investment opportunities,” says Papadopoulos.
