Devon Funds Expands Team

Josh Wilson moves into the role from his position as Chief Investment Officer at sister company Clarity Funds Management, within the Investment Services Group. He succeeds Slade Robertson, who will continue to contribute to Devon as a portfolio manager and director.

Wilson brings extensive investment and leadership experience to the role, having played a pivotal part in Clarity’s growth and performance during his seven years there. His appointment underscores Devon’s ongoing commitment to active management and its role within New Zealand’s capital markets.

“Devon has a proud heritage of delivering strong, research-driven outcomes for clients through disciplined active management,” Wilson says. “I am excited to step into the CEO role and to work alongside our talented investment team. We remain firmly focused on identifying compelling investment opportunities in New Zealand and Australia, adding value for our clients, and growing Devon’s capabilities over time.”

Robertson will remain involved in Devon’s investment activities, ensuring continuity of philosophy and process across the firm’s portfolios.

Investment Services Group chairman and Devon founder Paul Glass welcomed the appointment: “Josh has done an outstanding job at Clarity, where his leadership, investment discipline and commitment to clients have been instrumental in the business’s success.”

“We are delighted to have him take on the CEO role at Devon as we continue to strengthen Devon’s position as a leading active investment manager in New Zealand.”

In conjunction with this change, Slade Roberston will assume the role of Devon Chairman, with current chair Paul Glass remaining a director.
