Fraudster denied Supreme Court bid
A former financial adviser has lost his bid to go to the Supreme Court to fight a case brought against him by his clients.

Tony Mount also recently lost his attempt to overturn his fraud convictions.
He and his wife operated a financial advice firm in Nelson for 20 years and invested money on their clients' behalf. But the clients say money is missing and the value of some of their investments was overstated.
They say the Mounts also took the proceeds of some investments.
Mount was sentenced in December to six years, nine months' jail for 76 fraud charges.
An appeal in August reduced that to six months, with nine months to be served concurrently.
Twenty of his former clients are also taking civil action against the couple.
The case was first heard in 2013. The judge entered a judgement for the clients, handing them an award of more than $4 million in total.
The Mounts went to the Court of Appeal which reduced the award by just over $50,000.
They were last week denied leave to go to the Supreme Court.
