New page for Jeff

Tower Health and Life's head of distribution Jeff Page is setting up his own advisory business.

Friday, September 8th 2006, 6:06AM
Page is joining up with another former Tower executive, John Smeed, and establishing a North Shore-based adviser practice, Lighthouse Financial Services.

Page helped establish the recently launched National Partnership programme run by Tower Health and Life and Lighthouse will be one of these partners.

While the business will initially sell health and general insurance, Page says it will expand to other areas.

He is looking to built up a team of about 15 advisers and to set standards in the areas of best practice.

Page has spent 20 years in senior management, and 15 years with Tower.

He says this is not a sudden change, but one that has been more than 12 months in the planning.

"We are delighted that he and John have chosen to partner with TOWER in this exciting venture. It is a great endorsement of Tower’s distribution strategy and the flexible approach Tower takes in supporting the career development of its people," Tower Health and Life chief executive Steve Boomert says.
