Service offering to ease admin burden

A new outsourced administration business has been launched aimed at helping small risk and mortgage broking practices manage clients more efficiently.

by David Chaplin

Mike Maloney, founder of Service1st, said the business offers small advisory practices the opportunity to concentrate on "strengthening their relationships with clients" without being distracted by day-to-day admin tasks.

The firm's services include: a "multi-channel" front office service such as a dedicated free-call number; underwriting management; client data clean-ups, and; systems management.

"We will develop your referral base, generate long-term client loyalty, increase your sales and improve the capital value of your business – maximising the return when you sell your business," the Service1st website says.

According to Maloney, Service1st also operates a "smart technology" CRM system that updates records and applications.

"We will look after all the functions that advisers shouldn't have to do," he said. "Say an adviser needs a third of a PA – we have a pool of PAs that can fill that role."

Maloney said Service1st is primarily targeted at the risk market but it has also sparked interest from several mortgage broking firms.

He said the firm has already signed up a couple of clients.
