Looking for the best insurance coy online

Fidelity Life, OnePath and Tower boast the best insurance company websites in New Zealand, according to a review conducted by Chatswood Consulting.

The company reviewed the websites of the main life companies selling through brokers - which account for around 80% of the business in New Zealand - scoring each website on a number of different criteria to produce an overall ranking.

All of the company sites reviewed - AIA, AMP, Asteron, AXA, Fidelity Life, OnePath, Sovereign and Tower, scored well for product information, however for adviser information only Fidelity received a tick.

On policy documents only Tower's website was deemed worthy of a tick, and on career opportunities, Fidelity's was the only website not to get a tick.

For the brochures and forms category only Asteron received a cross, though the star rating across the other seven websites varied widely, with Tower receiving five stars, OnePath, Fidelity and AMP scoring three and Sovereign and AIA two.

Sovereign was the only website to provide case studies, and only Asteron and Fidelity included claim statistics, with Fidelity's website scoring four stars compared to Asteron's two.

Fidelity Life, OnePath and Tower headed the overall ranking with four stars each, followed by Sovereign, AXA, Asteron and AMP on three and AIA, the lowest ranked, with two stars.
