“There are so many amazing stories out there that bring the AIA Vitality journey to life,” says AIA NZ chief partnership insurance officer Sam Tremethick.

“We know of advisers who have seen significant mental and physical benefits since joining the programme and clients who’ve shared their own positive personal experiences.

"We’d love to hear more of these and how together we’re making a difference in people’s lives.”

The winning advisers will be able to access one of three AIA Vitality ambassadors to support their business for a day, which could involve anything from speaking at a business event, participating in a team activity or supporting a community project.

“I’m looking forward to supporting an adviser’s business in a way that is meaningful to them,” says former All Black and AIA Vitality Ambassador Ian Jones.

“I’m open to chatting at a fundraising dinner, taking a team or clients out for an AIA Vitality-inspired run or walk – and I’m not bad with a club in my hand, so could go a few rounds at a golf day.“

Dame Valerie Adams also has a vast well of experience she can draw on to share with clients and internal teams as one of New Zealand’s greatest athletes and a working mum.

“Sharing my story to help others on their AIA Vitality journey is something that I find really empowering," she says.

"A healthy lifestyle and taking small steps to achieve greatness is what it’s all about.”

Jess Quinn is also delighted to be part of the competition and is looking forward to sharing her personal story on overcoming adversity, mental health and hardship.

“Mental wellbeing is something that so many people struggle with and needs to be talked about more openly. I’d love the opportunity to chat with your team or clients on the importance of looking after your mental health, as well as adapting to change.”

Tremethick says AIA Vitality Ambassadors were chosen as they "...share our dream for New Zealand to be one of the healthiest and best protected nations in the world".

"Dame Valerie, Ian and Jess provide inspiration to thousands of people across New Zealand as they share their thoughts and advice on how to live healthier, longer, better lives.”
