"This marks an exciting new chapter for our business where growth, innovation, along with customer and partner experience are our absolute priorities,” Chief Executive Paula ter Brake says in an email to advisers.
Perhaps the surprising appointment is seeing former AIA executive Sharron Botica (pictured) joining as Chief Customer and Marketing Officer.
“Sharron brings extensive executive experience in life and health insurance, including multiple C-suite roles at AIA,” ter Brake says.
“She is widely respected for her strategic vision, integrity and ability to drive growth and transformation. Sharron’s deep customer expertise, industry relationships and muti-national experience will be a tremendous asset to Chubb Life.”
Also, joining the team is Andrew Webster as Chief Growth Officer.
Webster is a former ANZ staffer “with deep industry relationships and a proven track record in growth, having led one of New Zealand’s largest distribution teams across retail lending and insurance products at ANZ Bank.”
“Together with Chris Hand and our growing team of Business Partnership Managers and Employee Group Scheme specialists, Andrew will ensure Chubb Life continues to strengthen and grow partnerships across our IFA network, delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service experiences,” ter Brake says.
Damien Leng fills the role of Chief Innovation Officer. "He has a strong track record in innovation, agile delivery and transformation across financial services and data industries including roles at Westpac, Assurity Consulting, Core Logic and ASB. He is recognised for his strategic thinking, ability to bridge business and technology, and for consistently challenging the status quo, enabling Chubb Life to accelerate its transformation agenda."
Rounding out the new appintments is Kylie Oldham comes back to Chubb Life after roles at AIA and Fidelity.
She has more than 15 years of specialist group insurance experience, including expertise in technical pricing and business development with AIA NZ and Fidelity Life.
"Kylie has a proven record of expanding group insurance portfolios and was instrumental in helping Chubb Life establish a strong market presence in New Zealand. Her return further strengthens our group insurance offering and partnership with advisers," ter Brake says.
