Cigna expands into South Island

Cigna has officially opened its new office in Christchurch, the organisation’s first move into the South Island.

Wednesday, April 10th 2019, 9:44AM

It  follows Cigna New Zealand’s acquisition of OnePath Life from ANZ New Zealand in November 2018.

Chief executive Gail Costa said she is excited to be establishing a presence there.

“Our expansion into Christchurch reflects our long term commitment to New Zealanders. The office will provide valuable on the ground support to our Canterbury and South Island advisers and customers – making our products and services more accessible,” she said.

“Christchurch has been through a lot, especially in the last few weeks. We are proud to have a base in such a resilient city and to be able to support the ongoing regeneration of the central business district."
