Southern Cross is updating its life insurance offering

Southern Cross Life Insurance launches new life and living product.

Southern Cross offers its Life & Living Insurance in partnership with Chubb. The new offering is designed to provide greater value and enhanced protection for customers.

It is available to members and non-members and has more than 10,000 policyholders. Southern Cross members get a 10% discount when taking out Life & Living.

Southern Cross Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Regan Savage, said the new offering replaces the previous life insurance offering. It brings improved features and a new digital buying journey for customers.

“This is a significant milestone in our partnership with Chubb Life and provides added benefits and better experiences to new Southern Cross Life Insurance customers.”

Interestingly Southern Cross Life & Living has won the Most Trusted life insurance brand in the Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands awards.

Key features of Southern Cross Life & Living Insurance include:

  • Life insurance including terminal illness protection up to $1.5 million
  • Bereavement support benefit up to $25,000
  • Reimbursement of up to $2,500 towards costs for financial planning or legal advice about using money received from a claim
  • Ability to increase your cover when you experience certain life events, such as having a baby, without the need for a health assessment.
  • Any future enhancements to the product may be automatically applied to your policy. 

In addition:

  • A 10% lifetime reward for those who meet the criteria
  • A 10% discount for Southern Cross Health Society members
  • Access to client benefits.
